Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a Psychiatric, IDD, Substance Abuse, or Neuro Medical facility.
• Experience training/mentoring new staff members.
• CPI Instructor Certification within 9 months of hire and maintenance of CPI status.

Responsibilities

• Become a hospital-wide clinical resource to respond when units need support.
• Guide and mentor unlicensed nursing staff to strengthen care practices.
• Collaborate with Staff Development to assist with orientation and lead select trainings.
• Support a safe, trauma-informed environment for patients and staff.
• Use de-escalation and intervention techniques to prevent behavioral crises.
• Model calm, compassionate responses and therapeutic communication.
