Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses and provide routine delegated patient care in a rotating, part-time role. You will perform essential tasks such as transporting patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with basic activities of daily living under supervision.

The position requires CNA certification and BLS accreditation, with one year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Provides basic clinical skills to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities.
• Ability to record and report pertinent clinical data and monitor patient status.
• Familiarity with handling and using specialized patient care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with changing and dressing.
• Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify and report abnormal vital signs, lab results, or imaging findings.
• Report all abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding areas and orient them to the environment.
• Verify patient information and assist with personal belongings.
