Qualifications

• Basic clinical skills to safely perform delegated patient care activities.
• Record and report pertinent clinical data; use of specialized patient care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings affecting outcomes (vital signs, tests, EKG, CXR).
• Report all abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings (jewelry, dentures, etc.).
• Verify patient information.
• Orient patients and families to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.
