Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Redmond, WA is seeking a Part-time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join Providence PACE. This 20-hour-per-week daytime role operates on Weekdays and reports to the PCA Coordinator to help participants stay independent and engaged.

The PCA will assist with mobility, daily living activities, transfers, feeding, showering, and transportation, ensuring comfort and satisfaction within the center.

Qualifications

• WA Nursing Assistant Certification License required at hire.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required at hire.
• 1 year of healthcare setting experience.
• Experience working with frail, cognitively impaired older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with mobility exercises to help them be more independent.

Schedule : Part time 20 hours/week, Weekdays on day shift

Under the direction of the PCA Coordinator, assists participants in maintaining an environment consistent with their needs. Assists participants in their mobility exercises to help them be more independent for their activities and to maintain their current level of functioning. Provides care in a manner that assures participant satisfaction and retention. Assists participants in such activities as walking, transfers, use of mobility devices, getting to and from rest room, toileting, changing diapers and clothing, feeding, showering, getting in and out of transportation vehicles, socialization at the center.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
