Job summary

Ocean Meadow Senior Living in Clinton, CT is seeking a compassionate CNA for a part-time shift 7 AM-3 PM every other weekend. You will assist residents with daily living activities, document care, and report changes to the care team.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA
• Experience in assisted living, memory care preferred
• Ability to read and understand Resident Care Service Plans
• Experience with dementia is desired

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Document care and report changes to staff
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
• Apply customer service skills to ensure quality care
• Perform other duties as needed

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Requirements

• Valid CNA
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
