Job summary

Ocean Meadow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our team in Clinton, CT. The part-time role covers 3-11 PM shifts, every other weekend, to support residents with memory challenges and provide compassionate care.

You will assist with daily living activities, document care, and engage residents in meaningful activities while collaborating with a dedicated care team. Valid CNA certification and memory care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification
• Experience in assisted living; memory care preferred
• Ability to read and understand a Resident Care Service Plan
• Experience with dementia is desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Document care and report changes to staff
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
• Use customer service skills to ensure quality care
• Perform other duties as needed

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Requirements:

• Valid CNA
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
