Job summary

Ocean Meadow Senior Living in Clinton, CT is hiring a CNA for full-time evening shifts (3-11 PM) with every other weekend. You will support residents with daily living tasks, monitor changes, and provide compassionate care in a memory care setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA certification.
• Experience in an assisted living environment preferred.
• Memory care experience preferred.

• Experience with residents with dementia desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Document care and report health or behavior changes.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Provide emotional support and quality care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Requirements:

• Valid CNA
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
