Job summary

Ocean Meadow Senior Living in Clinton, CT is seeking a compassionate CNA for part-time shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, alternating weekends. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health changes, and document care plans to keep the care team informed.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CNA, with memory-care experience preferred, and can communicate with residents and families to provide respectful, person-centered care. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification.
• Prior experience in an assisted living community.
• Ability to read and understand a Resident Care Service Plan.
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Documenting care provided and reporting health or behavioral changes to staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure residents receive meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

CNA Requirements

• Valid CNA
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
