Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential personal care to residents in our skilled nursing community in Chanute, KS. You’ll support daily living activities, assist with transfers, and collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to ensure high-quality, respectful, person-centered care.

The role requires a CNA certification in the state, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility.
• Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition.
• Support restorative nursing and therapy activities as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents.
• Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of safety equipment.
