Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Galena, KS is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential, hands-on care to residents in our skilled nursing community. You will support residents’ daily care needs and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment as part of a dedicated team.

The role requires a valid KS CNA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to work daytime shifts (M-F, 6am–2pm).

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old and able to meet state CNA requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Valid CNA certification in KS is required to apply.
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Assist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility as needed.
Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition and care provided.
Support restorative nursing and therapy activities as directed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents.
Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors.
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipment.
