Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate CNA Nurse Aide to provide hands-on care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes across the Panhandle. You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, prepare meals, maintain safety, and engage clients in activities, while documenting care and communicating with supervising nurses.

Experience in caregiving or related fields is valued; training on HIPAA privacy and patient rights is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or related fields.
• Home health or hospice experience preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Familiarity with vital sign assessment.
• HIPAA privacy regulations understanding.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health or behavior.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in client status.

Our office in Amarillo provides caregivers for the Panhandle area including Amarillo, Claude, Hereford, Dumas, Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Pampa , and many others.

• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
