Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate Day Shift Caregiver to provide exceptional support to clients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes across the Panhandle region.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, prepare meals, maintain a safe environment, and help with medications while promoting social engagement and dignity for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's. Team collaboration is emphasized for quality care.

Competenze

• Experience in caregiving or related fields.
• Knowledge of patient privacy and HIPAA regulations.
• CPR and first aid knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Mansioni

• Assist clients with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Day Shift Caregiver

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Day Shift Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Our office in Amarillo provides caregivers for the Panhandle area including Amarillo, Claude, Hereford, Dumas, Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Pampa , and many others.

Day Shift Caregiver Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health or behavior.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in client status.

Day Shift Caregiver Experience

Candidates should have experience in caregiving or related fields, including but not limited to:

• Home health or hospice care experience.
• Working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client support.
