Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo seeks a compassionate Part Time Caregiver to support clients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes across the Panhandle. You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, and promote dignity and independence for seniors including those with dementia.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or related fields.
• Home health or hospice care experience.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital signs.
• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's/dementia care.
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor vital signs and observe health or behavior changes.
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment with light housekeeping.
• Administer medications as prescribed and follow care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities to support mental and emotional well-being.
• Document care and communicate with healthcare professionals about changes.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for client transfers.

Part Time Caregiver

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Our office in Amarillo provides caregivers for the Panhandle area including Amarillo, Claude, Hereford, Dumas, Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Pampa , and many others.

Part Time Caregiver Duties

Part Time Caregiver Experience

Candidates should have experience in caregiving or related fields, including but not limited to:

• Home health or hospice care experience.
• Working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client support.
