Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation in Kirkwood, MO is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team under new ownership by OPCO Skilled Management. We offer opportunities for career growth and a supportive work environment with night shift positions.

We have Night shifts 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM with both full-time and part-time roles. Full-time employees enjoy benefits including Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401(k), and a competitive pay structure with a Night Shift

Qualifications

• Missouri CNA certification in good standing.
• State-approved Nurse Aide Training Program completed.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; compassionate and resident-focused.
• Ability to read, write, and document resident care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of assistive devices.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse.
• Assist with feeding and hydration while encouraging resident independence.
• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident rooms.
• Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and quality of life at all times.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents while promoting dignity, comfort, safety, and independence. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA assists with daily living activities, monitors resident well-being, and helps create a positive, caring environment.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and quality of life at all times

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred but not required
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read, write, and accurately document resident care
