Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is actively seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team under new ownership by OPCO Skilled Management. We value compassionate, resident-centered care and offer opportunities for growth within a supportive environment at Kirkwood, MO.

Available shifts include Evening 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM with both full-time and part-time positions. Competitive pay and benefits are provided to eligible employees, with a commitment to dignity and high-quality care

Qualifications

• Missouri CNA certification in good standing is required.
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care according to individualized care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Take and record vitals; report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with feeding and hydration while encouraging independence.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights.
• Maintain clean, safe resident rooms and assist with housekeeping related to care.
• Document care provided accurately and timely.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and the care team.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands‑on care to residents while promoting dignity, comfort, safety, and independence. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA assists with daily living activities, monitors resident well-being, and helps create a positive, caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of assistive devices
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse
• Assist with feeding and hydration while encouraging resident independence
• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident rooms
• Change bed linens and assist with housekeeping tasks related to resident care
• Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and quality of life at all times

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred but not required
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read, write, and accurately document resident care
