Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy in Omaha, NE seeks a dedicated CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our Nursing team. You will provide high-quality resident care, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being, under the direction of the DON.

This full-time or PRN role requires Nebraska CNA certification, physical ability to assist residents, and teamwork with nurses and physicians. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Nebraska CNA certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift/move residents and assist with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Document care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in EHRs.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding and meals, provide companionship.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for comprehensive care.

• 6am-10pm Double shifts every Saturday and Sunday (Baylor incentive)


• 10pm-6am, Four Nights on and Two Night off rotation


• PRN as needed also available.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.


• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.


• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.


• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.


• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.


• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.


• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.


• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.


• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.


• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Nebraska required.
