Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside in Lincoln, NE is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility. You will provide compassionate care to residents, supporting daily living activities, mobility, and comfort.

This full-time role offers 6a-2:30p or 2p-10:30p shifts with every other weekend, plus PRN varied hours. You will document care, monitor vital signs, follow infection control protocols, and work closely with the nursing team to ensure resident

Qualifications

• Provide daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Monitor vital signs and document findings.
• Record all care in electronic health records.
• Communicate changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain infection control and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene).
• Help with mobility and transfers; assist with ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respiration).
• Document care provided and changes in residents’ condition in EHRs.
• Report changes or concerns to nursing staff in a timely manner.
• Assist with feeding, meals, and companionship to enhance quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for cohesive care.

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Emerald Brookside, Lincoln, NE

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Position Type: FT 6a-230p & 2p-1030p with every other weekend. Also PRN varied hours available.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.

• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.

• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.

• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.

• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.

• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.

• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Nebraska
