Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) in Rockford, IL. The role provides safe basic care, assists with daily living activities, takes vital signs, collects specimens, and monitors patients for changes.

You will document in charts and coordinate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care. Required CNA certification and CPR are specified; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant required.
• CPR Certification (American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS) required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist patients with activities of daily living.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
