Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Illinois is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care, take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and collect specimens as needed. You will monitor patients and communicate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.

Required CNA certification and CPR/BLS; HS Diploma or GED preferred; six months of clinical healthcare experience is a plus. This is an hourly, on-site position with weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification (Licenses/Certifications).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
