Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained before patient care and kept current.
• 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and health care team to support outcomes.
• Precepts team members to job function.
• Orients patient to hospital environment and routine.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Transmits information to oncoming staff and RN for follow-up.
• Delivers care according to the patient's care plan.
