OSF HealthCare is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to deliver safe basic patient care, including vital signs, daily living activities, specimen collection, and monitoring patients.

Responsibilities include charting, communicating with the care team to ensure continuity of care, and supporting patient supervision as required. This hourly role offers additional shift differentials and locations in Mendota and Peru.

Competenze

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant certification required.
• CPR certification via American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 6 months clinical healthcare experience.
• Preferred: experience supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients.

Mansioni

• Provide safe basic patient care including vital signs, daily living activities, specimen collection and observation of patient condition.
• Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care.
• Support constant supervision of patients as needed and assist in department-specific duties.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Additional work locations: Mendota and Peru

$2.25/hour for 3rd shift differential

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
