Job summary

The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is seeking a CNA Manager and Nursing Scheduler to lead CNAs, coordinate staffing, and ensure quality resident care in a 5-Star, deficiency-free environment.

This leadership role requires experience in long-term care, strong scheduling skills, and knowledge of regulations; you will oversee onboarding, training, documentation, and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin CNA license or willingness to obtain one.
• Leadership experience in healthcare, especially long-term care.
• Extensive CNA or caregiving experience with caregiving responsibilities.
• Strong scheduling skills for managing shifts and coverage.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team and address operational challenges.
• Familiarity with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise CNA staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and evaluations.
• Develop and manage staffing schedules for the nursing team across shifts.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to plan staffing needs based on census and acuity.
• Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and facility policies.
• Monitor daily operations and address staffing or operational issues promptly.
• Assist in onboarding new CNA staff and provide ongoing training on regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to staffing schedules, employee records, and compliance.
