Night shift differential

Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Observation Unit. You will support patients requiring short-term care (6–24 hours) and work closely with RNs to deliver high-quality care using advanced procedures.

This is a full-time day shift (7am–7:30pm). You can use our self-scheduling tool for shift coverage with an 18% night differential and $1/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification; CNA in state of practice required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical or related experience; hospital/clinic setting preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication and human relations skills; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall care plan.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Collects patient data including vital signs and input/output; documents in medical records.
• Reports abnormalities and communicates status to licensed professionals.
• Performs unit secretary duties and maintains patient records and supplies.
