Job summary
RP & JL LLC is seeking a passionate CNA Instructor to join our team in National City, CA. You will deliver engaging classroom and hands-on CNA training, aligned with California standards, and supervise clinical rotations while evaluating student performance.
Active CA RN or LVN license and a current DSD Certification are required, with at least two years of nursing experience. Prior teaching experience in healthcare education is a plus. This on-site role offers a chance to shape future CNAs.
Qualifications
- Active California RN or LVN license is required.
- Current Director of Staff Development (DSD) Certification is required.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; direct patient care in long-term care preferred.
- Prior teaching or CNA healthcare education experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging CNA classroom and hands-on instruction.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with CA CNA standards.
- Evaluate and assess student performance via skills demos and tests.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance and progress.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations and labs.
- Ensure CDPH program compliance.
- Mentor students for the NNAAP certification exam.
