Job summary

RP & JL LLC in National City, CA is seeking a passionate CNA Instructor to join our healthcare education team. You will deliver engaging classroom and hands-on clinical instruction for CNA training programs, drawing on your clinical expertise and commitment to quality patient care.

The role requires an active California RN or LVN license, at least two years of nursing experience (including one year in direct patient care in long-term care or similar settings), and approval from CDPH.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN or RN license required.
• Current Director of Staff Development (DSD) Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience; direct patient care in long-term care settings preferred.
• Prior teaching or training experience in CNA or healthcare education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on clinical instruction for CNA training programs.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with California state CNA curriculum standards.
• Evaluate and assess student performance through skills demonstrations and written exams.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress documentation.
• Supervise students during clinical rotations and skills labs.
• Ensure program compliance with CDPH regulations.
• Mentor students for NNAAP certification.
