Job summary

Critical Care Training Center in North Hollywood, CA, is hiring a Full-Time CNA Instructor to teach Monday through Friday. You will deliver CDPH-approved curriculum in classroom, lab, and clinical host facilities, guiding student nurses with accuracy and enthusiasm.

The ideal candidate has an active CA RN or LVN license, at least 2 years of nursing experience (including 1 year in SNF/long-term care or CDPH instructor qualifications), and a passion for mentoring.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN or LVN license required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; 1 year in SNF/long-term care or CDPH instructor qualifications.
• DSD certificate or teaching/instructor experience is a plus, but mentorship passion is mandatory.
• Must pass DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting and health/TB clearance.
• Strong communication and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the CDPH curriculum in classroom, lab, and clinical host facilities.
• Provide oversight and instruction to a student cohort during clinical rotations per CDPH regulations.
• Evaluate and log mandatory clinical skills checklists and student performance.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning environment aligned with Title 22.
• Collaborate with administration and host sites to ensure smooth program execution.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Lead & Inspire: Deliver the approved CDPH curriculum in the classroom, lab, and clinical host facilities.
• Supervise Safely: Provide dedicated, active oversight and instruction to a student cohort during clinical rotations in compliance with CDPH regulations.
• Track Progress: Accurately evaluate, log, and sign off on mandatory clinical skills checklists and student performance verifications.
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain a safe, structured, and organized learning environment that aligns perfectly with California Title 22 guidelines.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with our administration team and the host clinical sites to ensure smooth program execution.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

• Active License: Current, unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year providing direct care in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting (or meeting CDPH instructor qualifications).
• Teaching Passion: Director of Staff Development (DSD) certificate or prior teaching/instructor experience is a major plus, but a passion for mentoring is mandatory!
• Clearance: Ability to pass a mandatory DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting screening and health/TB clearing.
• Vibe: A fun, friendly, and professional attitude with strong communication skills.
