Job summary

Corewell Health's Hospice South in Stevensville is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care in home, facility, or hospital settings. You will support daily activities, document care, and maintain a safe environment under nurse supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or CNA training, and certification requirements including state CNA and BLS within specified timelines. Night shift with a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Nursing Assistant Training Program Completion Required.
• Michigan State Nursing Assistant Certification Required within 120 Days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC within 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
• Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
• Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment,and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
• Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Education
