Corewell Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will support patients according to their plans, unit routines, and hospital policies, contributing to compassionate care for patients and families.

Responsibilities include direct care tasks, documentation, and maintaining clean environments. This role supports a 40-hour, day-shift schedule in Grand Rapids.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course is required.
• CRT-Nursing Assistant certification from Michigan licensing authority is required.
• Driver's license (State of Michigan) required upon hire.
• CRT-BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required within 90 days of hire.

• Documents care provided in accordance with guidelines.

• Participate in unit quality monitoring under supervision.

Essential Functions

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
• Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
• Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
• Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems Upon Hire
• LIC-Driver's License -State of Michigan Upon Hire
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association excluding Hospice (required for Hanson Hospice Center) 90 Days Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days
