Job summary

Carroll Lutheran Village seeks a compassionate Part-Time CNA II/CMT for its Memory Care team. This evening shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) covers Mondays and Fridays with alternating weekends and holidays. You will administer meds, observe residents, and support care plans under RN supervision.

Join Our Team at Carroll Lutheran Village!Carroll Lutheran Village is seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Dual Certified CNA II/CMT professionals to join our exceptional Memory Care team.This position is scheduled for the evening shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) and works every Monday and Friday, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. This role provides essential resident care and medication administration support to individuals living in our Memory Care neighborhood.*Applicants must possess active CNA II and CMT certifications issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing. If you're looking for a rewarding career where you can positively impact lives every day, we'd love to meet you.Come see the difference!What You’ll Do as an CLV CMT:Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation, dosage, route, and timing, in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and facility policies.Observe residents before, during, and after medication administration; promptly report refusals, errors, or any signs of adverse reactions to the RN Delegating Nurse, Program Manager, and/or Director of Nursing.Verify resident identity prior to administering medications and follow all protocols for residents who self-administer, including reporting concerns related to compliance or safety.Maintain accurate and current medication administration records (MAR) and ensure all required documentation is completed in the resident’s clinical file.Ensure all medications are stored, handled, and secured according to facility guidelines and regulatory requirements.Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used medical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols related to medication administration.Assist licensed nursing staff with resident assessments and contribute to care planning within the scope of practice for a CMT.Provide residents with support for light housekeeping tasks and assist in escorting residents to and from activities as needed.Identify, report, and support the prevention of medication errors; participate in initiatives aimed at improving medication safety and adherence.Complete all required administrative tasks, including forms, charts, logs, and documentation, in an accurate and timely manner.Maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members.Report resident concerns, complaints, or grievances promptly to the appropriate supervisor or manager.Attend all mandatory training, including OSHA, in-service education, orientation, and ongoing continuing education necessary to maintain certification and stay current with best practices and regulatory changes.Perform additional duties as assigned.All the great incentives you get as a CLV Team Member!A strong total compensation package including:Competitive wagesGenerous contributions to a 403(b)-retirement planPaid Time OffPaid professional developmentScholarship opportunitiesAn even stronger culture of caring, collaboration and support!#INDSPNWhat You’ll Need as a CNA II:Education | ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.Current Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) license in accordance with applicable state regulations.1–2+ years of experience as a CNA II in a long-term care or related healthcare setting preferred.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public.Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care.Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology.Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations.Physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 25 pounds using safe handling practices.May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies or valid exemptions.Equal Opportunity Employer StatementAt Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland (LSMMD), we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every individual is respected, supported, and valued.
