Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active CNA Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in an ICF/ID setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities.
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Use EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence with daily routines and life skills.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning while promoting safe movement.
• Encourage participation in recreational, educational, vocational, and community-based activities.
• Monitor individuals' health, behavior, and overall well-being; report changes to appropriate staff.
• Promote a safe, respectful, person-centered environment that supports individual choice, dignity, and rights.
• Document care provided, observations, and services in accordance with facility requirements.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency.
• Other duties as assigned.

A CNA picking up shifts through Elite Medical Staffing at an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) or group home may be expected to:

• Active and unencumbered MICNA Certification
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test
• Flu Vaccine (during Flu season)
• Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted)
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
