Job summary

Oakwood Care Center in Middle River, MD is hiring a CNA-I (GNA) to join our long-term care team. We offer full-time and part-time Day, Evening, and Night shifts with competitive pay and a sign-on bonus.

You will provide compassionate resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and help with daily living activities in a supportive, family-like environment. We offer daily pay access, tuition reimbursement, and career growth opportunities from CNA-I to LPN/RN pathways.

Qualifications

• Active CNA-I certification in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Assist with toileting, continence care, and linen changes.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with meals, hydration, activities, and appointments.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Oakwood Care Center | Middle River, MD Shift Availability:

We offer full time and part time Day (7a–3p), Evening (3p–11p), and Night (11p–7a) shifts. Available schedules may vary based on current facility needs.

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $23.00/hour (plus shift differentials as applicable)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,500 (limited time)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and hygiene
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
• Assist with toileting, continence care, and linen changes
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and mental condition
• Measure and record vital signs as instructed
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, activities, and appointments
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active CNA-I (formerly GNA) certification in good standing
• Previous experience in long-term care or senior living preferred
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical job duties
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
