Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a PCT/CNA-Float to provide safe basic care across hospitals in the I-80 region. The role includes taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and monitoring patients as needed.

Float duties require flexibility, good communication with the Patient Care Team, and adherence to CPR/BLS certification. This is an hourly position with pay range $18.98–$22.34 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant required.
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe basic care to patients, including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care.
• Float to various hospitals and departments as needed in the I-80 region.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The PCT/CNA-Float provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. This position requires floating to various hospitals and deparmtents in the I-80 region.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
