Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a PCT/CNA-Float to provide safe basic care to patients, take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and support charting and communication among the patient care team. This hourly position requires floating to various hospitals in the I-80 region.

CPR/BLS and CNA certification are required; High School Diploma or GED is preferred. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and collaboration with the care team across facilities.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant credential required.
• CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association HealthCare Provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe basic patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Record pertinent information and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care while floating to multiple departments. In this role you may supervise patients as needed.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The PCT/CNA-Float provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. This position requires floating to various hospitals and deparmtents in the I-80 region.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
