Altus Hospice Care in Texas is seeking a part-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team. You will provide hands-on end-of-life care under the supervision of our nursing staff, helping with physical, emotional, and personal needs while maintaining dignity and comfort.

The role covers S Austin, Buda, Kyle, Wimberley and Bastrop areas, 2-3 days per week. We offer benefits, paid time off, tuition assistance, and a supportive onboarding program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum one year of CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience is a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, and grooming.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and compassion to patients and families.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guidance in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient’s home and agency records.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Salary

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
