Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join a compassionate team delivering hands-on end-of-life care across Bastrop, South Austin, Buda, Kyle and surrounding areas. You’ll work with a nursing team to meet physical, emotional and personal needs with dignity.

The role requires a CNA certificate, CPR where required, and at least 1 year in a relevant setting. Per diem schedule, with a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care per the plan of care and attend to patient/family requests with empathy.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Support families with guidance and reassurance during end‑of‑life care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per home, agency, and regulatory standards.

Altus Hospiceis seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands‑on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: Per Diem, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Coverage Area: Bastrop, S Austin, Buda, Kyle, Wimberley, Lockhart, Dripping Springs, Westlake and Beecave

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state‑mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
