Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA for the Port Charlotte location on a PRN basis. Shifts are 8pm-8:30am (Nights) across Port Charlotte, Arcadia, Venice, and Village on the Isle Hospice Houses, requiring 64 hours per month.

Qualifications

• Florida CNA certification required.
• One to three years of training and/or experience in care settings; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs personal care/home maintenance activities per the Hospice Aide Plan of Care written by a health professional.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the Hospice Aide role and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
