Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following individual care plans and unit procedures. Your role includes assisting with daily living activities, documenting care, and maintaining a safe patient environment.

This part-time daytime position offers a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift, with a 4-hour weekly schedule, and benefits aligned with an on-site hybrid healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course.
• Driver's License within the State of Michigan.
• Nursing Assistant – Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
• Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
• Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
• Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount.
