Job summary

Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA is seeking a PRN CNA/Home Care Aide to support patients in their homes within the Home Health Department.

The role includes assisting with ADLs, grooming, mobility, and reporting to the RN. A 75-hour CNA certification is required; a valid driver's license is essential. The employer emphasizes a positive culture and balance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Home Health patients in their home with ADLs (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, skin care).
• Assist with ostomy care, foot soaks, and care of wounds or dressings as prescribed.
• Perform range of motion exercises and assist with transfers and mobility.
• Obtain weights and monitor Catheter care; report to RN.

Home Health RN Responsibilities

Assist Home Health patients in their home with ADL's including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, skin care, cleaning of ostomy sites, foot soaks, application of medicated emollients as described on the patients plan of care, range of motion exercises as prescribed on patients plan of care, dressing, transfers, application of support garments, obtaining weights, Catheter care, application of specific skin barriers or simple dressings and reporting to RN.

Requirements

75-hour Certified Nursing Aide certification from an accredited program BLS a plus; certification is required as an employee. Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
