Job summary

Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA is seeking a PRN CNA/Home Care Aide to join our Home Health Department. This position supports patients in their homes with daily living activities and basic care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• 75-hour Certified Nursing Aide certification from an accredited program.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• BLS certification and Mandatory Reporter training are a plus and required as an employee where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Home Health patients in their home with ADLs including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, skin care, ostomy care, and transfers per plan of care.
• Perform range of motion exercises as prescribed and assist with dressing and use of support garments.
• Obtain weights, catheter care, wound care or skin barrier dressings, and report to the supervising RN.
• Maintain reporting on patient status and changes to RN per agency guidelines.
