Job summary

Cypress of Charlotte seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time home care on our Independent Living campus in Charlotte, NC. You will provide 1:1 care, assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to support resident independence.

Responsibilities include ADLs, light housekeeping, meal prep, and helping residents stay engaged in campus activities. Reliable transportation and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA certification (or working towards one).
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• One (1) year experience as CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• Geratrics experience preferred but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Promote independent living activities and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with ADLs, dressing/bathing, meal prep, light laundry, dishes and bed making.

• Facilitate exercises and encourage campus activity participation.
• Offer companionship for off-campus excursions and visits.
• Observe and report changes to the RN immediately.

Openings:

• Full-Time - CNA
  • 8am - 8pm with rotating weekends.
  • Must be willing to drive the members.

Pay:

• CNA AIL and Full-time CNA range: $17.50 - $19.70 per hour depending on experience.

Position Summary:

Provide personalized, one-on-one care to residents in campus homes, assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to support independence and well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 care in residenthomes locatedon campus.
• Promoteindependent living activities, providequality assistance with activities of daily living to enable residents to maintain independent living for as long as appropriate and possible.
• Assist with ADL’s, dressing/bathing, meal preparation and household tasks including light laundry, dishes and bed making. This can include pet care.
• Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as resident’s condition warrants.
• Assist members with making appointments as requested.
• Provide reminders to take medication.
• Facilitate exercise programs and encourage member to participate in campus activities.
• Offer companionship for off campus excursions/appointments/shopping.
• Observe and report changes in behavior/appearance to the RN immediately.
• Performance of assigned tasks in emergency situations including fire, electrical and disasters.
• Provide a compliant calendar of availability to the scheduling department by the 15th of every month containing all required elements to maintain PRN status.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina CNA certification or working towards one.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred but not required.
• Need to have reliable transportation.

Home Care PRN Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm to 10:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 8:00am
