Job summary

Sedgebrook in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) for Home Care, full-time. You will provide personalized, one-on-one care to residents living on our Independent Living campus, assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to support independence.

Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, with rotating weekends; benefits include daily pay, flexible scheduling, bus-line access, parking, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA certification or working towards one.
• First Aid/CPR Certified.
• One (1) year experience as CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care in resident homes located on campus.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Aid with dressing, bathing, meals, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as needed.
• Help arrange appointments and remind residents to take medications.
• Encourage participation in campus activities and exercise programs.
• Provide companionship for off-campus errands and outings.
• Observe changes and report to the RN promptly.
• Maintain a compliant availability calendar for PRN scheduling by the 15th.

Pay:

• CNA AIL and Full-time CNA range: $17.50 - $19.70 per hour depending on experience.

Position Summary:

Provide personalized, one-on-one care to residents in campus homes, assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to support independence and well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 care in residenthomes locatedon campus.
• Promoteindependent living activities, providequality assistance with activities of daily living to enable residents to maintain independent living for as long as appropriate and possible.
• Assist with ADL’s, dressing/bathing, meal preparation and household tasks including light laundry, dishes and bed making. This can include pet care.
• Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as resident’s condition warrants.
• Assist members with making appointments as requested.
• Provide reminders to take medication.
• Facilitate exercise programs and encourage member to participate in campus activities.
• Offer companionship for off campus excursions/appointments/shopping.
• Observe and report changes in behavior/appearance to the RN immediately.
• Performance of assigned tasks in emergency situations including fire, electrical and disasters.
• Provide a compliant calendar of availability to the scheduling department by the 15th of every month containing all required elements to maintain PRN status.

Qualifications:

Home Care PRN Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm to 10:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 8:00am
