Job summary

Monarch Communities in Watchung, NJ is seeking a per diem Caregiver reporting to Health & Wellness Director. The Caregiver assists residents with daily living activities per care plans, including personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry, behavior support, socialization, and activities.

Base pay is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. The role is non-exempt and hourly, with flexible scheduling, on-the-job training, and free parking available for per diem staff.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide certification required.
• Knowledge and experience working with the elderly; dementia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and activities as per care plan.
• Maintain safety, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
• Escort residents to meals and activities.
• Ensure residents are clean, dressed, safe, and fed during shifts.
• Document services provided during the shift.
• Report any changes in resident condition immediately to supervisor.
