Job summary

Claremore Skilled Nursing & Therapy is hiring Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA I and II) to provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a day shift, non-exempt nursing environment.

The CNA will follow facility policies, perform routine care tasks, ensure safety, and participate in training and care planning. Candidates must complete an approved CNA program and demonstrate competency, with strong communication and basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of good resident care practices.
• Must understand the facility's Exposure Control Plan and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
• Must be able to explain procedures involving exposure to blood contamination and when to defer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents following policies and care plans.
• Perform daily resident care tasks (bedding, lifting, positioning, personal hygiene, feeding, toileting).
• Identify safety hazards, respond to emergencies, and report to Staff Nurse.
• Document care accurately and participate in in-service trainings.
• Promote residents' rights, dignity, and social interaction during meals and activities.
