Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan serves as caregiver to residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance, following care plans and infection control policies.

Flex shift options with additional premium for non-block schedules and weekend/evening differentials. A comprehensive benefits package is offered for eligible staff, including a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• HS diploma or GED acceptable; certification provided by facility where applicable.
• Annual continuing education minimum: 12 hours; maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transfers and mobility.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Support nutrition needs, assist with meals, and participate in wellness activities.
