Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide compassionate daily living support for residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and meaningful activities, while documenting care and reporting concerns to the nursing team.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, responding to calls, and helping with meals and transportation within the community.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State and be in good standing.
• Effective verbal and written communication is required.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs; maintain proper body mechanics.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Encourage independence and participation in community activities.
• Conduct activities to provide meaningful experiences for residents.
• Report incidents and update care documentation promptly.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and keep common areas clean as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies; remain calm under pressure.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper release of resident information.
• Communicate changes and upcoming information to residents and families as needed.
