Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC in Houma, LA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate resident care in a home-like environment. You will support daily living activities, monitor residents, and communicate changes to the nurse.

The role requires a CNA license, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and 18-24 months experience in a similar setting. Benefits include medical, PTO, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program with current license.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADLs, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
• Notifies nurse, and/or designated agent(s) of Resident status/change as appropriate.
