Job summary

Avamere Transitional Care at Sunnyside in Salem, OR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for day and evening shifts. The role involves providing routine daily nursing care and services per each resident's assessment and care plan.

You will support residents with daily needs, participate in activity and social programs, and help maintain a warm, calm environment while communicating with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (10th grade education)
• Licensed CNA in Oregon
• Active CPR/BLS required during employment
• Passion for caregiving and improving residents' quality of life

Responsibilities

• Check residents to ensure personal care needs are met per their wishes
• Review care plans daily and adjust as needed
• Inform nurse supervisor of changes so the plan is updated
• Assist with daily activities and transportation to appointments
• Create a warm, patient, and cheerful environment
• Ensure rooms are ready for receiving and comfort of residents
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies
• Communicate resident information to charge nurses and administrators
