Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) for the Claremore Veterans Home on a full-time day shift. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on Level I or II certification, with a required every-other-weekend availability.

Position involves direct resident care, vital sign checks, charting, and supporting activities of daily living under supervision. Odva offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Level I requires LTC certification in good standing.
Level II requires 1 year of patient care experience and LTC certification.

Responsibilities

Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs, and obtaining certain lab specimens.
Charts observations and activities, reporting pertinent changes in the patient’s condition.
Performs delegated or other specialized functions as educationally prepared.
Escorts patients to and from various destinations.
Assists in maintaining and providing a clean, safe environment.
Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical functions.
Participates in follow-up activities and tracking clients, schedules appointments and performs other related tasks.
Provides case finding and recruitment of at-risk persons for comprehensive health services.
