Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) is seeking full-time Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to provide direct care to residents at the Claremore Veterans Home. Day shift with 6:30 AM–7 PM hours; every other weekend availability required. ODVA offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and dependents.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, charting, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Level I requires LTC certification in good standing by the OK State Health Dept.
• Level II requires one year of patient care experience and LTC certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct nursing tasks including vital signs, ADLs, and basic lab specimen collection.
• Charts observations and reports pertinent changes in patients' condition.
• Escorts patients to and from destinations and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical tasks.
• Schedules appointments and participates in follow-up activities and related tasks.
• Provides case finding and recruitment of at-risk individuals for health services.
