Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) is hiring a full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for the Claremore Veterans Home day shift. Level I pays $20.00 per hour and Level II pays $22.00 per hour.

Essentials include direct patient care, vital signs, Activities of Daily Living assistance, and related duties. A comprehensive benefits package is offered to employees and their families.

Qualifications

• LTC certification in good standing by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
• Level II requires one year of patient care experience and LTC certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs, and obtaining certain lab specimens.
• Charts observations and activities, reporting pertinent changes in the patient’s condition.
• Provides care under nursing or medical supervision and escorts patients as needed.
• Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical functions.
